Baby Shower Card

Happy Monday to you all, only 5 more sleeps till we head of on our Holidays to Caloundra. We all really need to get away for this one as we have had a few stressful months so I am really looking forward to this holiday.
We had a friends Baby Shower on the weekend and the girls decided that I had to make the card, I wonder why.... they would have just bought one, not very crafty some of my friends.
I have used Cricut Cartridge New Arrival for the pram and the words, and a Martha Stewart round the page punch as well as some Kaiser flourishes and a little bling.

Just a side on photo to show you that its an easel card and its quite large 8" x 8" in size.
Maybe you can guess that she is having a BOY!
Well I hope I will get a couple more posts in before the week is out, I am trying to get a few things packed and then onto my craft as I am not sure what I am taking with me this time.
I have got a fair few of the Marianne Craftables Dies as well as some new Nestabilities and new Cheery Lynn's so I think that may be my choice?

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 20 - Easter

I would just like to say a big thanks to Cheery Lynn Dies and to Jeannie, as I won a gorgeous Egg die called Lace egg Three, hop on over to Jeannie's blog she does some amazing work with Cheery Lynn.

Well as it say's Cheery Lynn Challenge Easter, can you believe that Easter is nearly here. We always go to Caloundra Sunshine Coast for holidays so I am starting to pack as we leave next weekend.
Here we go with my design for the challenge, I have once again used lots of dies so I will list them all.
A2 Frame Die Lattice FRM 115
Border Die Carnivale DL 129
Olive Branch B147
Tropical Leaves B119
Meduim Rose B154
Minature Rose B152
The links will take you over to Mandy at Scrappy-go-Lucky she has a great range of the Cheery Lynn Dies.
I have used Cricut Cartridge Doodlecharms to cut out the Easter eggs and a Stampin up punch for the tag. The little bird/chicken is from the new Kaiser collectables.
I have used a glass jar and cut the Lattice Die twice to wrap around the jar. The Border die Carnivale nearly fits around it I just had to cut and fit an extra piece.
A close up of the front, I love using the little leaves and branches they are so versatile and great to use as fillers.
The back of the jar, I didn't bother trimming the lattice die to fit because I thought it gave it a bit of character and the eggs just sit nicely at the back.
And for the lid of the jar I glued lots of the Medium Rose Die on the outer edge and then the Miniature Rose die on the inside. Of course adding a little bit of Kaiser bling to give it a bit of sparkle.
I will possibly be back with another post next week but I will take this opportunity to say Happy Easter to all of you.
Cheers Shelley

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 16 Frame It

I have been waiting patiently for my New Dies that I ordered from Cheery Lynn with my $20 Voucher that I won on Challenge 13 Sweethearts, of course I had to add a little extra money to get both dies. I actually received them this week DL184 Sophia's Heart and DL183 Oval Doily Stacker One. So I have done two projects this time for this weeks Challenge Frame It 16 as I just love the stacker dies you can do so much with them, I have made a frame buy cutting the middle out of the second size die with the smaller one.
I have actually put this one in an oval frame that I picked up from a store and just painted it white that way instead of a card they can put it on the wall and show it of.
Just a close up of the flowers that I used, Cuties 1- B149, Cuties 2- B150, Cuties 3-B151, The leaves are from DL 137 Japanese Lace and Flourish Frame.
My next project is a card all done in my favourite colour PINK
In this card I have used all 3 of the dies in Oval Doily Stacker Dies DL 183 to create a frame around the little Kaiser stamp and added some pretty flowers in the corners.
Well I am of to run a few errands although I would rather been home on my craft room making lots of cards and scrapbooking its just the weather for it here in Brisbane.
Till next time Shelley

Maggie Lovers Challenge # 1

Well this is going to be a really quick post as I have to have this card in for Bron's very first Maggie Lovers Card Challenge Challenge #1 - Christmas using Pink and Brown or Red and Brown the challenge closes tonight so here goes.
This is my take on the challenge, there are lots of talented Ladies out there that can colour beautifully with Copic Markers, and I am not one of them but I do like to give it a try and I just love my Tilda Stamps.
I have used Secret Tilda and Wrapped Presents which I have cut out and layered a few times.
Here is a close up of the card,
I have also used Cheery Lyn Die for the Christmas Tree, Nestabilities Dies and a little bit of Kaiser Bling on the tree.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch October # 3

I have been getting things ready for my Girls Night In so I haven't posted anything for a week or so.
This is my take on the Kaiser Sketch for October # 3. I have used an older paper again as I wanted the colours to keep going with the Album that I am doing with Shelby's Formal. So with mostly Loire Valley Collection and a little bit of Argentella this is what I have come up with. Donna is Shelby's Mum she is in the green and her Auntie Tanya, Donna's sister, who has been my best friend since we were 3 years old, over 40 years or more now is in the Red .
I really love the bird cages so I have added this to the page as there are birds all over this collection.
A little bit of bling and the page is complete.
This is the sketch we had to work with.
My thoughts, prayers and condolence's goes out to a fellow blogger and business owner who has just lost her 2 month old Grand Daughter from SIDS, it is not something their family will get over, but knowing we are all thinking of them hopefully helps.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch October # 1

Well okay I have gone backwards with the Kaiser Saturday Sketch #1 for October. But this layout will match the last one I did with Shelby at her Formal. I have used the same Kaiser Paper Sakura Park, punched out some flowers added some bling and the pretty Lamp Post. I used Kaiser Rub-ons for the word Family and added some ribbon to curl at the ends.
Everything on this page is Kaiser except for the Silver Card stock and ruffled Ribbon.
This is the sketch,
Here is a close up of the Lamp Post that I coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and
of course added a little Bling.
I am of to Monteville for the weekend with my dear Friends Karin and Mavis, so I am trying to pack all my craft stuff and not take to much HA HA that's a joke.
Enjoy your weekend

Kaiser Saturday Sketch September # 3

Back again with another Kaiser Saturday Sketch and tomorrow I will post # 4. I have used the Silly Season Collection for this layout. The bright colours are just perfect for the photo's. I have used the 12 x 12 paper and the Paper Pads for the smaller pieces. The wooden flourishes have been coloured with Copic Sketch Markers and so have the pearls as I wanted them to be red. I found some older Kaiser Christmas Baubles and I attached them to white cardstock so they would stand out a bit more.
I think you will agree little Heath is such a cute little boy to use on my layouts, I think I have scrapped him more than my own children lately.
This is the sketch we had to work with.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch September 2

Black and Bling was the theme for Jordyn 21st, so of course I had to keep the theme going with my layout for Kaiser's Saturday Sketch # 2. I came across some older black and white paper called Argententella and adding that with the newer Black and White paper pad a little bit of silver card stock using Nestabilities and a Doily Die they all went really well together.
Plus the added bonus for me was I could add lots of bling, with some kindy glitz on the Kaiser flowers and the ones I made with Kaiser paper and strips of bling around the photo and here it is my Black and Bling page.
A close up of the flowers
Here is the sketch.
Jordyn had a prize for the Bling King and Bling Queen and guess what I WON the Bling Queen, I am pretty well known for all of my costume jewellery and of course my watches which is at around 130 or more at the moment. I did tell Jordyn and Tracey I was out to win.
Cheers Shelley.

Birthday Sundaes

Hop on over to Birthday Sundaes and see what there card challenge is this week. You have to use at least 3 Brads. This is what I have come up with, I have cut the circle card using my Grand Calibar and Grand Round Nestabilities Die. Then used smaller ones in the scalloped and round circle's to get the layered effect. Cut out the flowers with different sized flower punches and added some Kaiser rhinestones around the edges. Popped a Doily Die Canadian Kaleidoscope in the middle and added the Happy Birthday in a Kaiser rub on.
This card is going to Renata from Calligraphic Arts at Moorooka for her birthday. Also with this little box I made with the Grand Calibar and Grand Nestabilites.
Here it is from a front on view so you can see its made into a little box.
I have added the punched flowers and a few leaves and filled it up with chocolate.
I hope she likes these, I know she will love the chocolates.

Scrap The Boys Challenge

Well I did say in my last post that I got a few page layouts done, so here is my first try with Scrap the Boys Challenge, I have finished my second layout for Scrap the Girls Challenge but I have got to take a picture of it. So for the month of June we had to use these colours with a little bit of black for journalling.

Here is my layout of little Heath, he comes to play every Monday afternoon so his mummy can spend time with his sister in her classroom, so we get to play and we have lots of fun.

Can you believe Heath turned 1 on Wednesday and he is having his first birthday party today, I think I am more excited than he is.

Scrap The Girls Challenge

Good morning everyone its a lovley day here is Brisbane a bit overcast and a little chilly.
For this challenge over at Scrap The Girls Blog this is what you had to do. Scrap a layout based on an important female in your life. Extra criteria: more than 20 words of handwritten journalling. Whoops I didnt read that far and mine is actually typed but I decided to enter it anyway. This is my Mum and I having Mothers Day dinner out and its really nice photo of us so I decided to scrap it using Kaiser Papers Love Note Collection. I have used Nestabilities Dies Parisian Accents for the borders and a few extra's on the page. A little bit of Kaiser Bling and some glitter on the Flowers and Butterfly and I have added Martha Stewart Luster Glass Microbeads on the Kaiser Heart.

Here are just smaller photos so show you some of the extra's I have added to the page.

My photography is not good at the moment I think its either the Camera or Me. If you click on the photos they do come up a bit better.

New Kaiser Papers

Hello everyone I hope your all having a great day.
I have been working with the latest in the Kaiser Collections. The first one is Chapter One and it was just a coincidence that Jessie is in the same colour green so it really blends in well. I have used the specialty paper Experience Die Cut and Foil for the background and then just added the black card stock to the back. I have used Martha Stewart Punches for the Hearts and Butterflies and the flowers are just from Carl Punches. A few Kaiser pearls in the centre and its done.

You cant see the verse that I have written but here it is for you I really thought it suited the photo's.
Love is like a butterfly
As soft and gentle as a sigh
The multicolored moods of love are like it's satin wings
Love makes your heart feel strange inside
It flutters like soft wings in flight
Love its like a butterfly, a rare and gentle thing.
This is  Dolly Parton Song.
This next one is Party Animals and I thought it suited my son and his girlfriend as they were having such a fun morning in the park just clowning around. I cut the photo's so they looked like banners and added some string, Kaiser buttons and bling and some Kindy Glitz to bling it up.

I hope you like these 2 layouts I had so much fun making them.

2 Challenges

Hello everyone, I thought I would enter my card in 2 challenges this week. The first is for Just Magnolia, LAnglar and sTanglar Blog where the challenge this week is Make it Lacy so they would like to see Lace featured somewhere on your project – either real or faux/pucnhed/die cut/ paper etc.
And the second is for Birthday Sundaes challenge, you have to  make a birthday card and include at least 3 circles and of course, a birthday sentiment/wording on your card front.

So here is my card with Magnolia stamp 60' Tilda all coloured with Copics and she is sitting on some Lace and I have used Nestabilities Heart Circle's and Nestabilities Standard Circle for the round shapes. You may not be able to see but there are 5 circle shapes, 3 being the heart shape circle and then 2 plain circles. I have also used a Martha Stewart around the page punch in the Hearts. And of course I have added some Kaiser Pearl's and some Kindy Glitz to jazz the card up a little.
I am supposed to be tidying up my Craft Room but I stopped so I could make this card.
Enjoy

Kaiser 12 Frame Photo Display

Well I have finally finished my Kaiser Photo Display, although as you can see I haven't put any photo's in it. I wanted to use the special Kaiser paper they have designed to fit these Frames. This has to be one of my favourites so far English Rose. I painted the frame first and then added the paper which I cut to fit in behind the frames.
I have used Kaiser wooden flourishes and sprayed them with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Viva Pink. And I did the same for the Kaiser Doily.  This is how the English Rose paper comes.
This is the finished frame.

Kaiser Crochet Doily that I sprayed with the Glimmer Mist

I used my Copic Pens to change the colour of the Lace and I also made the flowers under the word Treasure with a Die-Namics Steal Die. You use it in your Cuttlebug and I cut the flowers from Felt and then just glued them on.

These are just bought flowers and then I found this little piece of old fashioned lace in my stash.
Lots of Kaiser Pearls and Rhinestone's. I love my Bling.

I am not sure where I am going to hang this yet but I am sure I will find somewhere.
Enjoy Shelley

Bon Voyage Card

My daughter Jessie and her boyfriend Luke are of on a Cruise tomorrow Saturday 22nd. This is her first Cruise but Luke's second. They leave from Brisbane Portside and head to Whitsunday's, Yorkey's Knob, Port Douglas, Willis Island then back to Brisbane on the 29th of January.
So I thought I would make them a card, it ended up being quite big but I wanted to make the Ship as big as I could. This is the front of the card I used Life is a Beach for everything except the Letters.
This is supposed to be Jessie and Luke waving goodbye

I used Lyrical Letters for all of the words.
Some Dolphins that they will hopefully get to see.

There very own Deck Chairs with there initials on them.

And this is supposed to be one of the Islands they will get to see.
I added some buttons by cutting the shank of the back so they fit flat, for the shells and the treasure.

Well its taken me some of last night and most of the day to make this one so I hope they like it.
Have a great time Jess and Luke.

New Punches and Embossing Folders

Just taking a break from organising the Girls Night In, I have been wrapping up various prizes that have been donated for the raffles so far I have around 10 and still have more to go.
So I thought I would show you some cards I have been making with the New Border Punches that I have just got from " EK Success"

This one is Tulip's, and I have used my Nestabillities its a new one as well called Beaded Circles,
Its cut out on very shiny paper so you cant see that I have stamped in the middle with a Stampin- Up Stamp. It say's " a friend is someone who makes it easy".I have also used pink Kaiser Rhinestones on each of the smaller circles.

And Flowers I think they called it Daisy.
I have used my Nestabillities once again and added some little Dragonflies that I cut out with my Creative Memories Dragon Fly Punch which comes with a Free punch, there are 3 to choose from you can contact me on my website for more details.

This one is done once again with my Nestabillities its called Sunflower and I thought it matched perfectly with the New Craft Concepts Embossing Folder "Sunrays". You can just see if you look closely I have used my Stampin Up Chalk's and added a little bit of colour in a circle around the flowers and right out to the edge.
Cheers and Enjoy
