Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 38 - Celebration

Hello everyone,
I have had a very busy and stressful week, my Mum had a fall on Sunday so I stayed with them for an overnight stay on Monday night to give Dad a rest from helping her get up and about. I came home late Tuesday and started coughing and now have the full on cold....I can't complain to much though as my Sister has been in hospital all week having tests and hopefully she is on the road to recovery.

On a good note I did get to see my Great Nephew Lorenzo he is such a gorgeous little baby and over at Cheery Lynn this week, is the challenge Celebration. So instead of making a card or project I decided to do a layout for my album, I seem to have heaps of cards and wanted to scrapbook for a change.

The Cheery Lynn Dies I used are
Square Scalloped Stacker's Nesting Dies XL-2
Ultimate Dimensional Dies Emboss & Die Cut Buttons #2 set 14 D 102

This is what I call a Celebration a brand new Baby being born.
I have actually used the Square Scalloped Stacker Dies to cut out my photos,
as well as the matting behind them.
I just love this new Mini Flourish, it just cuts out the delicate leaves and vines so easily.
A close up of the Flourish and the new Lace Corner Deco die they come in a pack of 3 and they are perfect for a baby/boy page layout or card.
Do you like my Star and Circle Buttons they cut and emboss at the same time.
I would love to get the whole Cheery Lynn Alphabet Letters but in the meantime I am using some of my old stock of Chipboard letters.

I got a couple of new dies last week from Mandy at Scrappy-go-Lucky, head on over to her store as she is having a sale on Cheery Lynn Dies to make way for some new ones.
I am sure if  Mandy hasn't got the Cheery Lynn Dies in stock that your looking for she would be only to happy to get them for you.

Thanks once again to the Cheery Lynn Design Team for picking me in there top 3 for the White on White Challenge 37 it was for my Umbrella.

Until next time Shelley

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 37 - White on White

Hello again,
I would just like to share my good news with you before I start this post. I won last weeks Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge - 36  for my Tussie Mussie, thanks again to the Design Team for picking my project. So I will be doing a little shopping with my voucher.

I have got a few photo's on here as I really wanted to show you how pretty this turned out to be. I purchased these white Lace Umbrella's a few months ago and I just knew that I could use them one day.

I wonder how many of you need to take a closer look to see that the Cheery Lynn Dies aren't cut out with Cardstock or Paper but I have cut them out of FOAM. Yes you read right its actually thin white foam available from most craft stores. The foam was very easy to cut in my Cuttlebug, just like you would cut any cardstock, I only put it through once if you did it a second time it tended to move a little.

So here is my Little White Lace Umbrella and the list of the Dies that I have used head on over to Scrappy-go-Lucky to see the Dies Mandy has in store.
Canadian Kaleidoscope DL 104
Olive Branches B 147
These Umbrella's are really only supposed to be used for decoration but I still managed to be able to open and close them up.
The is the look as it is closed

This is another project that I made and I used FELT to cut out the flowers and the leaves we wore these at the June Craft Show this year.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at my project that I had so much fun in making and trying different products with Cheery Lynn Dies, I am trying Fabric with iron on interfacing to see how that works, so I will let you know how I go.
Thanks also for all your kind and encouraging comments on my blog
Until next time

A Layout with Tilda Papers for Stuck on U Sketches

Hello everyone,
I am so excited to show this layout that I have done with some new papers that I saw an add for in Australian Scrapbooking Memories vol 14 no 9 on page 13. I got in contact with the company Two Green Zebra's ( click on there name for the link to the website) in Australia to find out where I could get this gorgeous paper from. So I found it at Sewco Sewing and Patchwork Shop at Mt Gravatt in Brisbane. The Ladies were very helpful even offered us a cuppa as we both sat on the floor going through the paper's, they had sold out of the range that I really needed (not wanted) but they have ordered it in for me.

I had been talking to Tracey form Trace-Elementz  about the paper and she had seen it to so we were on a mission to see what they had. I am sure she will be making something very soon as we both bought some lovely papers etc from the range.
This is a copy of the add from the magazine
I decided to enter this layout in the Stuck on U Sketch for the 6th July Challenge
I liked the idea of being able to follow the sketch but use my own paper and embellishments etc from my own Scrap room.
I have used the Paper Stack Lavender for my layout, although the photo doesn't really show the colours that well. This is my DD getting ready for here Princess/ Fairy Party.
The Fairy or Angel is from Classic Cut-outs
And so is the tag, with these ones you have to cut them out, so I have gone around the edges                                      with a Copic marker, and I have used some Kindy Glitz and pretty flower bling
And I couldn't do a page layout without using a couple of my Cheery Lynn Dies this one is the Mega French Pastry Doily Die DL 158 and Exotic Butterflies Mini Set of 3 DL 112.
Well I hope you like the new papers that I have used and do go onto there website to see the range as its gorgeous. You can contact Two Green Zebra's or  Sewco Sewing and Patchwork Shop to see the whole range of new products
Until next time

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 36 - Silver/and or Gold

Hello everyone I hope you are all well,
I would like to say thanks again to the DT Team at Cheery Lynn for picking me in the Top 4 Weekly Spotlight for my Challenge entry no 35 Christmas in July
I decided to stick with the Christmas theme for this weeks  Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 36 Silver/and or Gold.

I picked up this paper mache cone which can be used either way to make a Christmas tree then I was looking on Pinterest ( it's very addictive) and found a different idea. I didn't really know what to call them but most of the ladies that have made them say they are called Tussie Mussie.

I have covered mine in some gold and white Christmas fabric and then decorated it with ribbon and Cheery Lynn Dies.
The dies that I have used are Christmas Ball DL 150, Holly Flourish B 148, Anastasia Border B 136 and Build A Flower Clematis B 181.
This is a view from side on you can see that I have used the Anastasia Border around the top of the cone,
And a close up of the Holly Flourish and  Christmas Ball
I used a left of poinsettia from last weeks project and the middle of another one the stamens to sit on the gold bow.
Head on over to Scrappy-Go-Lucky for all your Cheery Lynn Dies and so much more.
Until next time

Good morning to you all, its a cold morning here in Brisbane around 5 degrees outside. So why am I on the computer instead of being in my nice warm bed, well that's because I am feeling better today although I will probably be in a heap later on but I wanted to enter this challenge and I have a few things to do.

So here is my Layout for Scrap The Girls - Black And White And One Other Colour, this is my daughter Jessie at her 21st Birthday Party last year she had a Burlesque Theme.
