Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge For MOM

Wonderful Mother
God made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He moulded her heart of pure gold;
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see;
God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.
Pat O'Reilly
I thought I would share this lovely Poem with you all before I show you my card for the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge For Mom
So this is one of my cards for my Mum or my Mum -in-law not sure which one will get this one.Its a bit had to see with this card, I have actually made it out of cardboard and then covered each piece with Kaiser paper Sweets and matching Kaiser Cardstock, then joined the two pieces together with Ribbon so it ties at the side with tow bows.
Die's that I have used are
Dutch Scallop Square Frame DL 140 ( also the fancy die from the middle)
Japanese Lace and Flourish Frame DL 137 ( just the ferns in the middle)
These are linked to Scrappy-go-Lucky so hop on over and see what other Cheery Lynn Dies are available.

So here is my card, its like a window of flowers,
This is the back of the card
This is the card opened up and I have made little tags to sit in the pocket's which I have then used some Rub-ons on each one,
The versus on the tags,
I have actually glued the flowers onto the ribbon. And for a different effect I have used Cuties B149 and not rolled it up but just left it to use as a border on the top of the pockets.
Its not Mothers Day here until the 13 May so I have a little bit of time to make another card.
Thanks so much for leaving me comments it really makes it all worth while.
Cheers Shelley

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 24 - Birthday

I have been busy doing secret squirrels stuff so all will be revealed at a later date.
I had already made my Mum a card for her birthday last week but decided to make another one with my Cheery Lynn Dies just to have in my stash of cards.
So here is my take on the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge # 24 Birthday, I have used numerous dies once again so I have them all listed. If you click on them you will go straight to Scrappy-Go-Lucky's store right here in Australia, so go on over and visit Mandy and support out Aussie stores.
Nautical Wheeler Doily DL 180
Olive Branches B147
Large Rose B155
Lace Light Deco Border B133
Stacker Flower # 6 SF-6
Stacker Flower # 5 SF-5
Exotic Butterfly small set of 3 DL113
I love making easel cards they are so easy and I think they look a little bit special,
Here is a close up of all the flowers, the light pink in the centre is Stacker Flower # 5 SF-5, but I have used a scalloped circle nestabillities die to make the flower smaller in size. So you cut it out with the Cheery Lynn die and then put it back through with the smaller circle die, cutting of the petals so its smaller.
Well hope you all have a great week,
Cheers Shelley

Kaiser Saturday Sketch April # 1

Well here is my layout for the Kaiser Saturday Sketch April # 1. I haven't done one of the challenges for awhile although I always seem to use Kaiser Paper in most of my projects.
I have used one of the new collections Fine and Sunny and Kaiser Cardstock for the background colours.
I have cheated a bit as I hate to waste paper so I have cut out the middle of each piece of cardstock so I could use it for the next layer, (green and blue).
I love using the 12 x 12 paper and adding the Paper Pad paper and cut outs that match each collection, and I have used the Die Cut Collectables for this layout as well.
Here is the Sketch we had to follow.
Well of to do a few more projects I seem to be on a roll at the moment.

Sketches with a Twist April

Well can you believe that April is half way through already, the time is really flying past us.
I have been busy with a few sketches and this is the one for Sketches With a Twist.
This Twist is to use mesh on your project, it could be Magic Mesh mesh from a fruitbag or any kind of mesh you can find in your household.
I have used a clear mesh that I picked up awhile ago and put it aside and thought I will use that one day, well this was the perfect time to grab it out of the cupboard and put it to use.

This is my Mum and Dad and myself on our holidays.
There is a clear mesh on the page you just have to look really close,
Well I am of to continue scrapping I am on a roll at the moment so don't want to stop.

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 23 -Think Spring

Well I am back from Holidays and trying to get back to reality, such a shame I cant look out the windows and see the beach, maybe one day I will be able to....this is the view we woke up to every morning overlooking Kings Beach at Caloundra.
Well over at Cheery Lynn Designs they have had a bit of a change they now have two blogs one called the Cheery Lynn Designs Inspiration Blog and then the new Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge Blog.
So one is obviously for inspiration and the other is for the challenges, although they are both awesome blogs to follow.
So here is my card for the Think Spring Challenge,
I have used Fanciful Flourish B117 and Small Lace Faerie Queen w/Angel Wing DL 161, I made this whilst on holidays so I was limited as to products to use on the card as I couldn't take everything with me. You can see most of the dies at Scrappy-go-Lucky.
The wooden Bird Cage Flourish is from Kaiser and other bits and pieces I took with me.
A close up of the gorgeous Butterfly it also comes with the wing to use on the back.
Well hope you like my card and I will be back with a few more projects that I am working on very soon.
Cheers Shelley
