August 17 Stuck on U Challenge

Hello Everyone,
I am cutting it a bit fine with the time for this challenge so its going to be a real quick one for this challenge at Stuck On U Sketches
I love this Professional photo that was taken of my Great Nephew Lorenzo and his Mum and Dad kissing him on each cheek, so cute don't you think.
I just loved this challenge as I really didn't want to add to much to the page as I just wanted to showcase the photo, sometimes I think we forget its about the photo, not so much of the product you can fit on, well that's what I think anyway.
So of course I had to use some of my new Cheery Lynn Dies,
Sorry I took the photo late at night so its not a really good one but you can see the gorgeous photo,
I wanted to show you a close up of the New Dies they are so delicate and fine,
I wonder what Mike and Bj and their Team will come out with next
This is the sketch we had to follow
Well its goodnight from me its after 11 pm and I am of to bed.
Cheers Shelley

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 42 - Doilies

Hello everyone,
Well I was so disappointed when my NEW CHEERY LYNN DIES didn't arrive in time for this challenge as there were a couple that I wanted to try out,
but as Mandy from Scrappy-go-Lucky said
" Shelley I am sure you have got another doily die you can use".

Well of course I have but its not the same as opening up a new Die and trying it for the first time,
and I don't have that many really only 186 dies and counting.
Thanks so much again to the Design Team for choosing my last card for the Top 3 in Challenge 41- ABC

Well on to my card for the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge 42 - Doilies, well its really a card that my best friend gave me for my Birthday and I wanted to keep it as a memento of our long lasting Friendship, and she thought the two little girls looked a lot like us at that age. I cut the front of the card of to use on the frame and then decorated it with dies.
The dies I used are
English Tea Party DL 101
Polynesian Sails Oval DL 153 just the middle
Tropical Flourish B 127
Tropical Leaves B 119
Olive Branches B 147

I have used the middle of the Polynesian die to use behind the framed card and in the middle of the large Tea Party Doily in the corner, cut out three of the Tropical flourish.
I have joined two of the English Tea Party dies together and then folded them,
to get this look and just added a couple of flowers in the middle
The leaves are just one in the set of 5 of Tropical leaves and of course
my favourite filler leaf, Olive Branches.
On the back of the board I have put the inside of the card so that its facing outwards so I can still read what she wrote in the card.
I just thought this was a great idea to use the card I had and just tissy it up a little.
Don't forget to head on over to Scrappy-go-Lucky for all of the Cheery Lynn Dies, they have the New Christmas and the New Release as well.
Cheers Shelley

Hello everyone,
I just want to say a big thanks once again to the Design Team over at StuckOnUSketches for choosing my layout again this month in the top 3. I love doing there sketches as you can use whatever you have in your stash.
This is the layout that we had to follow.

There is going to be lots of photo's of this special little boy
 my Great Nephew Lorenzo.
I have painted the Twiddleybitz Chipboard in Distress Stain
and sprayed the red flowers in Glimmer Mist
I also sprayed the edges of the paper with Glimmer Mist,
although you cant see it in the photo.
The Tag, Leaves and the word Baby are cut with a  Marrianne die.
Well Until Next Time

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 41 - ABC

Hello everyone,
Before I get on with my card that I have made for this weeks Challenge 41 ABC use a letter, I just wanted to say a big thanks once again to the Cheery Lynn Design Team for picking my last card for Challenge 40 to win the $20.00 voucher to spend, and I have already done that just waiting for my Alphabet letters to arrive.

I just receive from Mandy my new order of the new Cheery Lynn Christmas Dies
and of course I just had to have them all so head on over to Scrappy-go-Lucky to see what she has.
The new August release is arriving any day so get on over and pre-order them I think I have left a few for your all to buy once again I had to have them all.

I don't have any alphabet letters yet but I did get this one from Mandy  last week

I am loving the Manon's Wedding Garland, I have used that as the background, and then used the flowers from the set, cut them out in silver card and used the stems from Build A Flower 1 B181
The Corner Dies are Lace Corner Deco L B 175
The Happy Holidays is a set of 2 dies I have used the larger words and as you can
see in the picture I have just cut of the holly so its not so Christmassy.
The bow is another New Cheery Lynn Christmas Die called Bow and Bell DL 163
and I have just used the bow for this card, I just live the fine details in these dies.
You can just see a couple of leaves they are from Flourish Leaf Strip B 178
If you click on to the highlighted  Scrappy-go-Lucky you will go straight to there Cheery Lynn Dies so go on over and OOH and AAH just like I did.

StuckOnUSketches - August 3- 16 Sketch Challenge

Hello Everyone,
Well what can I say better late than never, I think I am cutting this one a little close as its due in by the 16th, for the StuckOnUSketches Challenge August 3.
Before I show you my layout I would just like to thank the Design Team for picking my last layout that I did for July's Challenge for SOUS in the Top 3.

In my last layout I used some new papers that I just love called Tilda and they have a huge collection of Papers, Fabric, Embellishments and lots more in the range. I have chosen the Paper Stack Frosted Bluegreen this time for my layout. I will put the link up again for Sewco and Patchwork Shop at Mt Gravatt, where you can get the papers from.
This is the sketch we had to follow
And here is my layout
I have used my Cricut Cartridge Lacy Labels ( Bliss) to cut out the Circle background and the flowers as well then I have used the other half that you don't see underneath to layer the flowers.
I have also used my Cheery Lynn Die Nautical Wheeler Doily DL 180
just the middle of it to put under the flower and you can just see it under the page in the corner.
The word rectangle "You Shine So Bright" is from the paper stack they have 5 sheets of them in this one.
I have also used a couple of Martha Stewart Punches to add a little extra to the layout.
Well I am of to finish another layout that I am working on and also
my next project for the Cheery Lynn Challenge.
So much to do and so little time.
Cheers Shelley

The Cheery Lynn Die that I have used are
Oval Doily Stacker One DL 183 ( I used the largest size)

The picture of the little girl is from Children - Images From The Past PD 163 from Scrappy-go-Lucky.
Kaiser Tea at Elsie's Paper Pad and Kaiser Pearls.
The oval dies are from my Spellbinders Dies
I just love the way you can mix and match all the Cheery Lynn Dies,
Here is the closed card
A close up of the card when its opened
This is the card when its fully opened and yes its an easel card
and I have cut the large Oval Doily Stacker Die 3 times to make the card.
A close up of the Flowers from the Manon's Wedding Garland, I just love these little flowers and you can layer them I have cut out 2 large and 1 of the small to get this effect.
The photo's really don't do the card Justice but it was late in the afternoon when I took them.

Thanks again to the Design Team for picking my Card and Picnic Basket for the Top 3 from last weeks challenge.

Cheery Lynn Designs in Australia

Good evening everyone
I was so excited last night as I watched this clip from the Cheery Lynn Designs Shopping Site.
I actually saw myself on here, I ran out of the room to get my husband and daughter to see me on the video, they laughed because I was so excited.

I sent Bj and email and asked her if I could put this on my blog and guess what she said yes so here it is.
It starts of with Bj and Mike staying on the Gold Coast, visiting Currumbin Sanctuary, then on to the June Craft Show and visiting a couple of stores here in Brisbane, then they set of for the Great Barrier Reef.
There are lots of photos of the Cheery Lynn Design Teams cards and layout on here to.
If you didn't get to see me at the show you can definitely see me here I was all decked out in the colours for Mandy at Scrappy-go-Lucky. You can see me around the 5 minute mark.
You can see the Cheery Lynn Flowers that I made for my hat and the ones I had pinned on my apron and that Mandy had ironed on some of the doily dies as well. I made the ring to from the Cheery Lynn Dies.

Well thanks for letting me share this with you I feel like a celebrity ha ha
Cheers Shelley

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 39 - Hot Time in the Summer

Just like to share with you my good news, my layout that I did for Stuck on You Sketches was picked in the top 3 so thanks to the Design Team for picking my layout.

Well onto my project for the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 39- Hot Time in the Summer. Its been quite cold here so its a bit hard to be thinking Summer at the moment. But I did capture our pool in the background and there was some sun shining when I took the photo's.

My Card and Picnic Basket I thought really suited this challenge because we all love a good picnic in the Summer Time.
The Cheery Lynn Dies that I have used for my project are,
Lace Corner Deco C set of 3 B 163
Anastasia Border B 136
Head on over to Scrappy-go-Lucky to see the New Cheery Lyn Dies
The paper is the new Kaiser Miss Match Collection.
This card design is called a Zig Zag Card
The card when its fully opened,
My cute little Picnic Basket and I think my new favourite die at the moment would have to be the Flourish Leaf  Strip B 178
The sentiment is from Kaiser
"We don't remember days we remember moments"
I have tied the opening up with some lace
The view from the side.
Well I hope you have enjoyed my project for Cheery Lynn and be sure to head on over to the Cheery Lynn Designs Inspitation Blog  From today (Sunday 5th August) to Sunday 12th August Cheery Lynn is teaming up with Imaginisce to bring you lots of inspiration using both these amazing products..
