Just Magnolia and LAngler & sTanglar Challenge Blog

Well I made this card for a friend of mine who's two daughter's are getting married within a few weeks of each other. I didn't realise it would be exactly what the challenge is over at Just Magnolia.

Challenge 143 # - pink pearls and lace, so I thought what the heck I will put it on the site and see how I go.
I have used my nestabilities dies and of course Magnolia Stamp Lady Tida to look like a bride. Docrafts have some gorgeous pink and blue 6x6 paper pads with matching paper flowers at the moment so I chose these to use as well.
Yes it's another easel card, just so easy to make.
Close up of the flowers that match the paper pads.
The first wedding is on Wednesday this week so good luck to the Bride and Groom and all of the family, we hope the weather is kind to you.

Maggie Lovers Challenge # 1

Well this is going to be a really quick post as I have to have this card in for Bron's very first Maggie Lovers Card Challenge Challenge #1 - Christmas using Pink and Brown or Red and Brown the challenge closes tonight so here goes.
This is my take on the challenge, there are lots of talented Ladies out there that can colour beautifully with Copic Markers, and I am not one of them but I do like to give it a try and I just love my Tilda Stamps.
I have used Secret Tilda and Wrapped Presents which I have cut out and layered a few times.
Here is a close up of the card,
I have also used Cheery Lyn Die for the Christmas Tree, Nestabilities Dies and a little bit of Kaiser Bling on the tree.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch October # 2

It is very hard to imagine that this gorgeous girl Shelby is 17 and all dressed up for her Year 12 Formal.
We have known her since she was born and we have watched her grow into a beautiful Young Lady.
I loved doing this Kaiser Sketch October # 2 as you could use 3 photo's and I love putting lots of photos on my pages. So this is done with an older paper called Sakura Park, I am not sure if you can still buy it but I wanted to use it because of the red and black colours.
I have used Doily Dies, Martha Stewart Punches, Nestabilities Dies, all Kaiser paper and of course lots of bling. Pop back in a few days as I have finished the Sketch for October # 1, and it will go into my album as this page's other half. The words are cut with Cricut Cartridge Forever Young.
This is the sketch we had to work with.

I have used Nestabillites for the fancy shape of the Holly and Cheery Lyn Dies for the round doily at the top of the page. I have also used my new Border maker from Creative Memories for the fence shape and then threaded through Kaiser paper.
I hope you like this one any comments you leave really make my day.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch September 2

Black and Bling was the theme for Jordyn 21st, so of course I had to keep the theme going with my layout for Kaiser's Saturday Sketch # 2. I came across some older black and white paper called Argententella and adding that with the newer Black and White paper pad a little bit of silver card stock using Nestabilities and a Doily Die they all went really well together.
Plus the added bonus for me was I could add lots of bling, with some kindy glitz on the Kaiser flowers and the ones I made with Kaiser paper and strips of bling around the photo and here it is my Black and Bling page.
A close up of the flowers
Here is the sketch.
Jordyn had a prize for the Bling King and Bling Queen and guess what I WON the Bling Queen, I am pretty well known for all of my costume jewellery and of course my watches which is at around 130 or more at the moment. I did tell Jordyn and Tracey I was out to win.
Cheers Shelley.

Kaiser Monday Make Up Sketch

Well here is my take on the first sketch for the month of September, they had computer problems so they have named this one Kaiser Monday Make Up Sketch.
This is my daughter Jessie at her friend Natasha's 21st Birthday Party the theme was 1950's.
I have used my favourite paper Kaiser's  English Rose using both of the 12 x 12 and the paper pads.I got  some new Spellbinders Shapeabilities on Wednesday so I have put them to use already. The flowers have been made with the New Spiral Blossom 1 no S4-351 and the other shapes are with the new Ironwork Motifs no S5-059. The very delicate leaves are done with the Die-Namics Fancy Flourish.
This is a close up of the flowers they are so easy to do with the Spiral Blossom Die Cut.
This is the Kaiser Sketch
This is the New Spiral Blossom 1 no S4-351

Spiral Blossoms One
And this one is  Ironwork Motifs no S5-059
Ironwork Motifs
I have also used some of the New Kaiser Sparklets and the smaller Mini Paper Blooms.
Look what I got in the mail today my order of more Cheery Lyn Doilies & Exotic Dies from Mandy at Scrappy-Go-Lucky, I am of to have a play with them now.

Another Llittle Box

I have made this little box for a very special friend of mine. She has been going through a lot over the last 10 months or more and without giving away to much that's all I will say as she hasn't got this yet.
I have used Doily Dies and purchased from Scrappy-Go-Lucky, Lattice FRM 115, French Pastry DL 102, Kiwi Oval Frame DL 123, Japanese Lace & Flourish Frame DL 137 ( just the leaves on this one), Exotic Butterflies Set of 3 small DL 113, Spellbinders Nestabilities Carnation Creations S5 049, Grand 12' Classic Lace Border. Die-namics Fancy Flourish, and last but not least 2 of the Magnolia Stamps Tilda With Three Flowers and Tulip Wheelbarrow both from Michelle's Cards & Stamps.
This is from the front of the box,
And just a few smaller pictures of the different angles,
I know there is a lot on here but once I get started I just can't seem to stop with all the little bits and pieces.
Here is just a little sneak peak of something else I have been working on that I will post next week.

Cheery Lynn Designs Blog

Well over the last few months I have been very lucky in adding some new friends to the blogs I follow. Some of the ladies are trying out for a spot on the Cheery Lyn Design Team. So I thought why not I will give it a go seeing as I have a few of the Doily Dies. I thought Doily Dies were all that Cheery Lyn Designs made, little did I know that there are lots more, so go on over to www.cheerylynndesigns.com and check them all out.
This is a box that I covered with some paper and then I have used a Martha Stewart around the page punch. To get the Lattice look I have used  A2 Frame Die in Lattice FRM 115,cut it out twice and joined it together. Then I have used Doily Die English Tea Party DL101 and on top of that is the Doily Die Italian Flourish DL103,that I have cut 3 times and joined them together folded them over to get the Doily to look like a flower. The Butterflies are from Exotic Butterfly small set of 3- DL113 and then I have used the Small Angel Wing-Two Layer Die Butterflies DL132A as the white background.
I don't have any of the flowers so I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities Carnation Creations S5-049 to make the 2 sizes of the flowers and the leaves then added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the ends of all the flowers. The vine in the background is made with Spellbinders Borderabilities On The Vine Border S7-017.
And of course I have added the gorgeous Doily Dies Hearts from Heart to Heart DL106

I have added Italian Flourish DL103 cut in half on three sides of the box.
I just love using the Doily Dies on Cards and Scrapbooking as well and now I have my Vagabond to cut them with it's so easy and effective, especially the small pieces that gets cut out of the dies.
I have 18 Cheery Lyn Dies now and I am looking at adding more to my collection.
I really enjoyed making this little box and I am thinking of making a few more for pressie's.

Challenge Card

Hello I am back today with a card for 2 challenges, Totally Tilda and Just Magnolia.
Totally Tida's challenge is Distressing and Just Magnolia is a sketch to follow, so this is what I came up with for both challenges. I have used Kaiser Paper Pad in Gelato, I thought the umbrella paper went well with the Magnolia Stamp 'Romantic Tilda'. The Doily die is English Tea Party from Scrappy-Go-Lucky. Lace, flowers a little bling in the centre and I have used Tim Holtz Distressing ink all over the card. And I have actually coloured Tilda in with Tim Holtz Distress Ink.
I hope you like this one,
Cheers Shelley

Another Llittle Box

This is another little box that I have made for 2 challenges this week.
The first is for Totally Tilda Challenge is anything but a card, but you do have to use Magnolia Stamps.
The second is for Just Magnolia Challenge  Butterfly theme using Magnolia or Hanglar & Stanglar images.
So I bought this little box awhile ago thinking I would use it for something, don't we all have those sorts of things floating around in our craft rooms, well at least I am getting to use one of them.
I used Magnolia's Tilda as a Butterfly Stamp and Open Gate, I have used a Martha Stewart around the page  Punch to make the leaf shape and added some Kaiser Rhinestones, Flowers and Butterfly Flourishes.

I also used Spellbinders Nestabilities for the edge of the box. I am not sure where I am going to put it but I am sure I will find somewhere.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch

Well I am back from a fantastic weekend of Scrapping, great company and great food.
Before I tell you about the first challenge, I would like to share with you the great news that my page layout from Scrapbook Awards in April/May won the PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS FOR BABIES. A special thanks to Sherie for letting me publish the picture's of Kirra and Heath.

I thought I would catch up on a couple of Challenges while I was away.  I will do each post separately, the first is the Kaiser Saturday Sketch for June no1.
I love this photo of our daughter Jessie, she decided to water her Daddy while he was watering the garden.
You have to use at least 70% Kaiser products so the only think that isn't on here is the cardstock, ribbon and lace. So come on Kaiser and get some Cardstock and I could use that as well.
Will post the next challenge up soon.
Cheers Shelley

Birthday Sundaes

Well over at Birthday Sundaes they have their weekly card challenge and this week its Create a Masculine Birthday Card. There are always ways of making a pretty card for a little Girl or a lovely Lady and you can even make a really cute card for little Boy, but lets face it its a lot harder for men. So I have used Kaiser Paper Pad Shaken Not Stired, I love these pads as you don't really need anything else apart from the actual card. I have used my Nestabilities to cut the round shapes on the front and added some red rhinestones just to Jazz it up a bit.
I think this is a pretty good Masculine Card let me know what you think.

2 Challenges

Hello everyone, I thought I would enter my card in 2 challenges this week. The first is for Just Magnolia, LAnglar and sTanglar Blog where the challenge this week is Make it Lacy so they would like to see Lace featured somewhere on your project – either real or faux/pucnhed/die cut/ paper etc.
And the second is for Birthday Sundaes challenge, you have to  make a birthday card and include at least 3 circles and of course, a birthday sentiment/wording on your card front.

So here is my card with Magnolia stamp 60' Tilda all coloured with Copics and she is sitting on some Lace and I have used Nestabilities Heart Circle's and Nestabilities Standard Circle for the round shapes. You may not be able to see but there are 5 circle shapes, 3 being the heart shape circle and then 2 plain circles. I have also used a Martha Stewart around the page punch in the Hearts. And of course I have added some Kaiser Pearl's and some Kindy Glitz to jazz the card up a little.
I am supposed to be tidying up my Craft Room but I stopped so I could make this card.
Enjoy

Holiday's and Cards

Well I am back from Holidays and we all had a really good break, the weather wasn't all that great but we still managed to do a few things and get to the beach. We all got up at 4.30 am and went to our very first Anzac Parade, I must say it was very moving. Jessie made a lovely dinner one night Red Wine Beef Pie and Stuffed Potatoes all made from scratch no Mrs Continental for my daughter.
And here we are overlooking Maleny as you can see the weather wasn't really great but we had fun in all the shops at Monteville.
We had lunch at a cafe called Elements at Monteville and this is the scenery we got to look at while we were eating, just beautiful.
And this was my space where I got to make all the cards
I made about 25 cards
Here a a couple of close ups of some of the stamps I coloured using Copics and Tim Holtz Distress Ink,
I used the Distress Inks all around the edges of this card and on the wooden spoon
I love this one Magnolia's Tilda with Bike and the bike paper is from a 6 x 6 Paper Pad by
Jilli bean Soup, it suited the stamp really well.
This one is my favourite I think I will keep this for myself.
I have coloured Tilda as Butterfly with Copics and used Nestabillities to cut out the shapes on the card.

I hope you enjoy looking at the photo's from our Holiday and the cards I got to make.
Cheers Shelley
