The Scrapbook Awards

Hello everyone I entered 2 of my Layouts in the Scrapbook Awards for those of you who may not have seen this site this is a quote from there site.

Scrapbookawards.com is the only International Awards site dedicated to rewarding and recognizing the creative talents of the scrapbooking community. We offer you the ultimate peer recognition and awards for inspiring talent from the novice scrapper to influential designers.

These are the 2 layouts that I entered, Kirra and her baby brother Heath, made with Creative Memories paper Make A Wish. I received 90 votes for this one and the winner got 94.

This one is Jessie made with Kaiser Paper Chanteuse, and I only has this in for a few weeks out of the 2 months and got 58 votes. So I am quite proud of myself. Some of the layouts are fantastic and made by well known scrappers.

A couple of very special friends said to me you don't have to be a winner, just give it a go and everyone looks at layouts/cards etc through their own eyes, and we all have different tastes and ideas.
Hope you enjoy looking at these.

Kaiser Scrapbook Pages

Can you believe I am a Kaiser Stockist and this is the first time I have used any Kaiser products in my Page layouts. So this is a first for me. I have used the Christmas Belle Collection and used my Cricut and Nestabilities to cut out the shapes. I have softened the edges of the Poinsettia's, with Creative Memories Chalking Ink.

I have got over 200 photo's from Christmas day to put into my Album so I have a lot of work ahead of me. I like to get a lot of photos onto the one page so hopefully I will only need one Album.

Easel Calendar Gift Box

I know I think I am a bit obsessed with these at the moment but I thought I would show you this one that I made with the Creative Memories Make A Wish Paper.

I even did the Calendar in blue.

All of the embellishments are from the Make A Wish Embellishment pack.
Just thought I would add this extra photo of my hubby's new Toy, he had to get the red one I would of preferred the Yellow but he couldn't see himself riding around on it. This will probably be my first and last go on the new Toy.

Now that's my kind of mowing getting plenty of exercise.
Until next time.

New Punches and Embossing Folders

Just taking a break from organising the Girls Night In, I have been wrapping up various prizes that have been donated for the raffles so far I have around 10 and still have more to go.
So I thought I would show you some cards I have been making with the New Border Punches that I have just got from " EK Success"

This one is Tulip's, and I have used my Nestabillities its a new one as well called Beaded Circles,
Its cut out on very shiny paper so you cant see that I have stamped in the middle with a Stampin- Up Stamp. It say's " a friend is someone who makes it easy".I have also used pink Kaiser Rhinestones on each of the smaller circles.

And Flowers I think they called it Daisy.
I have used my Nestabillities once again and added some little Dragonflies that I cut out with my Creative Memories Dragon Fly Punch which comes with a Free punch, there are 3 to choose from you can contact me on my website for more details.

This one is done once again with my Nestabillities its called Sunflower and I thought it matched perfectly with the New Craft Concepts Embossing Folder "Sunrays". You can just see if you look closely I have used my Stampin Up Chalk's and added a little bit of colour in a circle around the flowers and right out to the edge.
Cheers and Enjoy

Creative Memories Make A Wish Products

Well I have been busy making Borders and Pages with the 12 x 12 Paper Pack Wishful, Embellishment Pack Wishful and the Wisful Border Kit Customer Kit. And my new favorite Embossed Star Maker. All of these products when sold a donation for each product goes to the Make A Wish Foundation.
These are some of the pages I have done using the new products.

As you can see it makes it really easy if you have some gorgeous photos to work with.

Here are just a few of the borders I have made,
I also used the CM Tearing Tool and the Tag Maker.

This one is a close up of the Embossed Star
and I have overlaped them so the white comes through on the blue.

This one I just puched out Red and Green Stars and used a
Christmas Background paper and made a Christmas Tree.

Please comtact me if your interested in purchasing any of the Make A Wish products or you can go to my website www.mycmsite.com.au/shelleym to see more.

Scrapbooking Pages

Well these are the first 2 pages of my Album I am making of Heath, my Godson. I have used Creative Memories 12 x 12 Discover Baby Boy papers, Paper Buttons, Paper Frames, Expressions of Vellum Accents, ABC Monograms Swirly. Creative Memories has come along way with all of there products and they make it so easy as they all co-ordinate and it takes the guess work out matching everything up.

I have used the Custom Cutting System Jumbo Circle Pattern to cut the Photo out.
Then added the embellishments to the page.

With this page I have just matted the photos and put a Frame around Kirra's name to emphasize that the page is about her.

And of course this is what it will look like together in the Album. I have taken heaps of photos so I have got a lot of scrapping to do.
