STRUT YOUR CUTS WEEK # 4

Wow I was one of the winners from Strut Your Cuts Week # 2 from Scrappy-go-Lucky Blog and Carlene was the winner from Facebook. We each get a $10 store credit from SGL, thanks Mandy look forward to spending that plus a little bit more. ( he he)
This is the list of the Cartridges for this weeks challenge
Love you a Latte

Sports Mania
Everyday Pop-Up Cards
Damask Decor
Best of Pixar
I have 2 of these Everyday Pop-Up-Cards and Damask Decor, so I chose to make a card from Damask Decor.
This one is on page 95 and its just called Damask 35, I have added a little extra this week with some pearl rhinestones and a bit of ribbon. I did want to do a 12 x 12 Canvas and use one of these designs but I lost my mojo and came up with this instead.
I hope you like it.

Cheery Lynn Dies

Well as promised I am back with a couple of things that I have made with my New Cheery Lyn Dies that I got last week from Mandy at Scrappy-go-Lucky.
The first one is made from the new Dies DL 164 Doily Stacker Circles 1,2,3., and they fit perfectly on the Plain Circle White Easel Cards also from Mandy. They are really quick and easy to use and it takes all the guess work out of the sizes and scoring etc.
They come in packs of 20 with envelopes for $ 9.95 so thats makes it about 50 cents a card with the envelope included. It would cost you more in Cardstock.
I used the medium size circle and its fits perfectly, I then used my Scalloped Nestabillites for the background and then the smaller Die in the pink, then there is a small circle in this set that just enough for the small rose to sit in the middle.
This is another one that I made using the Medium Die and I managed to cut it out of the patterned paper with the owl on it. I have actually threaded ribbon through the holes of the die and then tied it off into a bow.Added some Kaiser pearls and a liilte bit of lace.
I have got to have more of a play with the little Cuties 1 B149, 2 B150 and 3 B151, I think I have wound them to tight and the petals need spreading out a little bit. But They are still pretty cute all the same.
Now I did pinch this idea from someone else not sure where now but I did change it a little.
I have used the Heart to Heart Doily Dies set of 4 DL106, and the good thing about this set is that the large die is used for the background (dark pink).
I have done this on the back and front and then just cut a strip of cardstock to make the bag and then another piece to make the handle.I should have taken step by step photo's, will do that next time.
These little flowers are the Roses in Large B155, Medium B154 and Minature B152, I have just put them all together with a brad.
This is another new one  Hearts D'Vine B142, and I have just cut out a couple of them and added them to the handle and the bottom of the bag.
I have done a few more projects but I dont want to spoil you with to many.
This is a picture of what the cards look like when you buy them they are already cut and scored and are just easy and economical to use. So head on over to Mandy and see what she has.
Hope you enjoy looking at the cards I have made.
Cheers Shelley

Kaiser Saturday Sketch September # 3

Back again with another Kaiser Saturday Sketch and tomorrow I will post # 4. I have used the Silly Season Collection for this layout. The bright colours are just perfect for the photo's. I have used the 12 x 12 paper and the Paper Pads for the smaller pieces. The wooden flourishes have been coloured with Copic Sketch Markers and so have the pearls as I wanted them to be red. I found some older Kaiser Christmas Baubles and I attached them to white cardstock so they would stand out a bit more.
I think you will agree little Heath is such a cute little boy to use on my layouts, I think I have scrapped him more than my own children lately.
This is the sketch we had to work with.

Scrap The Girls Challenge

For the month of July the challenge for Scrap The Girls is scrap a Layout using this album cover by
‘Pink’ ‘Greatest Hits….So Far’ as your inspiration.
Choose the colours, design, words whatever grabs you and use them to create your layout, girls only of course. And you have to choose any song title or lyrics by Pink and use them anywhere on your layout,
either as a title on your page or in your journaling.

So this is what I have come up with, I chose the song WHO KNEW, and then added on the page- you would be so BEAUTIFUL. This is my daughter Jess and a photo that was taken on there cruise this year.
I have used Kaiser Paper Pink Gelato, flourish and  pearls. Martha Stewart around the page punch and paper flowers. I cut the words out using Cricut Cartridge Lyrical Letters. The Flowers in the middle are from Hair Clips that I picked up from a Equip Jewellery shop.

I hope you like this one, I will be back soon with my Kaiser Sketch.
