Decorations for Jessie's 21st Party

I thought I would share just a few decorations I made for my daughter Jessie 21st Burlesque themed party.
I cut the letter's out with George and Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge using shadow feature for the black.
These are just a few decorations that I made with various things I already had, The mannequins I made a Skirt and Corset in the red and black colours, with felt and tulle. And I used Tie The Knot Cricut Cartridge for the Corset shapes and did them in a variety of sizes and colours.

We had a frame covered in Tulle and party lights that was supposed to represent a mirror and I took the photo's as if the girls were looking at themselves in the mirror. And of course some make-up and perfume to really set it of.
Gary and I were so proud of Jessie, she made her own Cake in a Corset shape and Iced it with proper Icing and it turned out beautifully, we added some lace for the frills, some ribbon and a couple of roses.
A view from side on it really was a shame to have to cut it.
And I thought I would throw in a cheeky one of Jessie with her sparkly hat on.
My niece Rebecca did our hair and Make-up for the night, and the girls just looked stunning.
Happy 21st to our Darling Daughter we are now of to Sydney for the weekend so see you next week.

Maggie Lovers Challenge # 2

I have been quite busy over the past few weeks, my DD is turning 21 on Monday and we are having a Burlesque themed party on Saturday night and then a Family BBQ on Sunday so I will be pretty busy all weekend.
I have been waiting to do this challenge from Maggie Lovers Blog called Christmas Anything But A Card, until I got my new Koala Tilda Stamp from the lovely Bron at http://www.shopbron.com/
So here she is Koala Tilda surrounded by a gorgeous new Cheery Lyn Doily Die DL133 Aussie Kangaroo, that I got this week from Mandy at Scrappy-go-Lucky.
I just love this new stamp Koala Tilda and she is exclusive to Shop Bron, and she just need some extra Aussie things around her. I have used the little Kangaroo's that come out of the Die when you cut it. Just perfect for this challenge.
Here is a couple of photos of my little box not sure who is getting this one yet I may have to make a couple of them as pressie's.
I have also used the new Cheery Lyn Holly Flourish B148 and Spellbinders Shapeabilities Layered Poinsettia's S5-055
Here is a close up of the gorgeous stamp, I hope to be back next week with some pictures and layouts of my DD 21st Party.

Girls Night In

My friend Andrea and myself  hosted a Girls Night In on Saturday and raised just over $700.00 to go to the Cancer Council of Queensland. I am sure all of you know someone who has been touched by this terrible disease and anything we can do to help is appreciated.
We made a lovely Christmas Tree made with Kaiser Paper and had over 100 prizes for raffles.
Thanks to some of our sponsors.Kaisercraft who kindly donated a couple of their New Collections, Tracy from My2Angels very kindly donated some goodie bags to give the ladies. Go over to her site as she has some amazing products in her store. Mandy from Scrappy-Go-Lucky has offered all the girls a little extra when they shop in her store. Go over to Mandy site as well, if you love anything Cricut, Copic Markers etc and of course the Cheery Lyn Doily Dies are my personal favourite.
Here is a photo of all of us after we had made the tree's.
The lady sitting in the front ( with the long brown hair)  is Tracey from Trace-Elementz, head over to her blog
and see how talented she is.
The Christmas Trees,
And here are the raffles that we had.
Thanks to all of the Ladies who attended on the night and even those who couldn't make it and still donated.
We had a wonderful time and got lots of prizes to take home.
Thank-you all

Maggie Lovers Challenge # 1

Well this is going to be a really quick post as I have to have this card in for Bron's very first Maggie Lovers Card Challenge Challenge #1 - Christmas using Pink and Brown or Red and Brown the challenge closes tonight so here goes.
This is my take on the challenge, there are lots of talented Ladies out there that can colour beautifully with Copic Markers, and I am not one of them but I do like to give it a try and I just love my Tilda Stamps.
I have used Secret Tilda and Wrapped Presents which I have cut out and layered a few times.
Here is a close up of the card,
I have also used Cheery Lyn Die for the Christmas Tree, Nestabilities Dies and a little bit of Kaiser Bling on the tree.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch October # 3

I have been getting things ready for my Girls Night In so I haven't posted anything for a week or so.
This is my take on the Kaiser Sketch for October # 3. I have used an older paper again as I wanted the colours to keep going with the Album that I am doing with Shelby's Formal. So with mostly Loire Valley Collection and a little bit of Argentella this is what I have come up with. Donna is Shelby's Mum she is in the green and her Auntie Tanya, Donna's sister, who has been my best friend since we were 3 years old, over 40 years or more now is in the Red .
I really love the bird cages so I have added this to the page as there are birds all over this collection.
A little bit of bling and the page is complete.
This is the sketch we had to work with.
My thoughts, prayers and condolence's goes out to a fellow blogger and business owner who has just lost her 2 month old Grand Daughter from SIDS, it is not something their family will get over, but knowing we are all thinking of them hopefully helps.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch October # 1

Well okay I have gone backwards with the Kaiser Saturday Sketch #1 for October. But this layout will match the last one I did with Shelby at her Formal. I have used the same Kaiser Paper Sakura Park, punched out some flowers added some bling and the pretty Lamp Post. I used Kaiser Rub-ons for the word Family and added some ribbon to curl at the ends.
Everything on this page is Kaiser except for the Silver Card stock and ruffled Ribbon.
This is the sketch,
Here is a close up of the Lamp Post that I coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and
of course added a little Bling.
I am of to Monteville for the weekend with my dear Friends Karin and Mavis, so I am trying to pack all my craft stuff and not take to much HA HA that's a joke.
Enjoy your weekend

Kaiser Saturday Sketch October # 2

It is very hard to imagine that this gorgeous girl Shelby is 17 and all dressed up for her Year 12 Formal.
We have known her since she was born and we have watched her grow into a beautiful Young Lady.
I loved doing this Kaiser Sketch October # 2 as you could use 3 photo's and I love putting lots of photos on my pages. So this is done with an older paper called Sakura Park, I am not sure if you can still buy it but I wanted to use it because of the red and black colours.
I have used Doily Dies, Martha Stewart Punches, Nestabilities Dies, all Kaiser paper and of course lots of bling. Pop back in a few days as I have finished the Sketch for October # 1, and it will go into my album as this page's other half. The words are cut with Cricut Cartridge Forever Young.
This is the sketch we had to work with.

My Magnolia Stamps

I cant believe I am actually sitting here with my dressing gown on its got cold in Brisbane today.
Well enough about the weather, I wanted to show you what I have been working on for my Magnolia Stamps. I have 46 stamps and counting I think I have an addiction when it comes to these little cutie's.

So I decided to make a book and then stamp the stamps on the pages in the book so I know what ones I have and I can quickly look through them and decide which one I will use.
I am also entering this into the Totally Tilda Challenge # 32 - Decorate a Beer Mat (Coaster)

or Mini Album, I only noticed this one the other day so it has worked out quite well for this challenge.
This is the front of the book,
So here are my little girls and boys from left to right we have Leaning Tilda, Cool Ed, Tilda with Flowing Hair, Tilda with Lace Jeans, Circus Tilda all at the Shabby Chic Fence with Edwin's Town in the background.
This is the back of the book with, Romantic Tilda, Brother & Sister, 60's Tilda, Wonderful Tilda sitting on the Tin Boxes and Love Muffin.
Here is a close up
Brother and Sister is so cute,
And this is the inside of the book, I haven't finished this yet but I have stamped all of the stamps on the pages so I can just flick through.
Please leave me a comment and tell me which is your favourite Tilda.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch September #4

As promised I am back again with Kaiser Sketch #4, This time I have used all of the December 25th Collection. I have used the 12 x 12 paper as well as some of the Paper Pad papers and embellishments.
I have used Nestabillites for the fancy shape of the Holly and Cheery Lyn Dies for the round doily at the top of the page. I have also used my new Border maker from Creative Memories for the fence shape and then threaded through Kaiser paper.
I hope you like this one any comments you leave really make my day.

Kaiser Saturday Sketch September # 3

Back again with another Kaiser Saturday Sketch and tomorrow I will post # 4. I have used the Silly Season Collection for this layout. The bright colours are just perfect for the photo's. I have used the 12 x 12 paper and the Paper Pads for the smaller pieces. The wooden flourishes have been coloured with Copic Sketch Markers and so have the pearls as I wanted them to be red. I found some older Kaiser Christmas Baubles and I attached them to white cardstock so they would stand out a bit more.
I think you will agree little Heath is such a cute little boy to use on my layouts, I think I have scrapped him more than my own children lately.
This is the sketch we had to work with.
